8 Days

Bhutan is a small, landlocked country located in the eastern Himalayas in South Asia. It borders China to the north and India to the south, east, and west. It has a population of around 800,000 and Thimphu is its capital and largest city. Bhutan is known for its Gross National Happiness, a philosophy of development that emphasizes a holistic approach to progress based on sustainable economic growth, environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and good governance. Its economy is mostly dependent on agriculture, forestry, and tourism. Buddhism is the main religion in Bhutan, and the country is also known for its stunning mountain landscapes, colorful festivals, and unique architecture. In a typical Bhutan tour, visitors can visit the capital city of Thimphu, the ancient town of Paro, and the beautiful Punakha Valley. They can also tour the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery, which is situated on a cliff at an altitude of over 3000 meters. The Bhutanese culture is deeply rooted in Buddhism, and visitors can attend several festivals, celebrations, and religious events throughout the year. The Bhutanese are friendly and welcoming, and tourists can experience the country & traditional food, hospitality, music, and dance.

Tourists require a visa to enter Bhutan, and the country strictly regulates tourism. Therefore, visitors are advised to book a Bhutan tour through a registered tour operator well in advance. Bhutan tour packages typically include accommodation, meals, transportation, and sightseeing. The trip usually begins in the capital city of Thimphu, where visitors will explore the colorful markets, traditional Bhutanese architecture, museums, and other attractions. Some of the popular tourist attractions in Thimphu include Tashichho Dzong, Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma statue, and Folk Heritage Museum.

From Thimphu, the trip may proceed to Punakha, which is located about 72 km away. Punakha is known for its beautiful landscapes, ancient temples, and the Punakha Dzong, which is one of the most impressive Dzong architecture in Bhutan. Visitors can also explore the nearby villages, visit the Chimi Lhakhang temple, and Punakha suspension bridge. Touring Gangtey and Phobjikha Valleys is an unforgettable experience for any traveler. The best way to explore these regions is by booking a Bhutan tour package with a reputable travel agency.
