Saribung Peak climbing via Upper Mustang trek is a unique adventure that combines the thrill of climbing a challenging peak with the cultural experience of exploring the hidden kingdom of Upper Mustang in Nepal. The journey takes you through the remote and stunning landscapes of the Himalayas, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, barren valleys, and ancient monasteries.

The trek begins from Jomsom, the gateway to the Upper Mustang region, and follows the Kali Gandaki river valley to the ancient walled city of Lo Manthang. Along the way, you will cross high passes, trek through rugged terrain, and witness the unique culture and lifestyle of the local people.

Once you reach Lo Manthang, you will acclimatize for a few days and explore the city’s ancient palaces, monasteries, and temples. From here, the journey continues towards Saribung Peak, which stands at an elevation of 6,328 meters.

The Saribung Peak climbing is a challenging adventure that requires technical skills and mountaineering experience. The ascent involves crossing glaciers, climbing steep snow and ice slopes, and navigating through crevasses. However, the reward of reaching the summit and witnessing the panoramic views of the Himalayas is an experience of a lifetime. The descent from the summit takes you through the Nar Phu region’s remote valleys, where you will witness the unique lifestyle and culture of the local people. The trek ends at Koto, where you will drive back to Kathmandu.

The Cost Include

  • Accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara (5 nights’) on twin sharing basis with breakfast

  • Total 18 nights stay on twin sharing basis in standard Teahouses and Tented Camp during the climbing

  • 2 trekkers will share 1 porter. Please leave your non-essential items in your hotel or at our store.

  • Nepal Entry Visa Fees for multiple entries on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport- (15 days – $30, 30 days- $50 and 90 days- $125)

  • Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu due to early arrival or late departure, or early return from the trek.
  • Nature of personal expenses (shopping, snacks, boiled bottle water, hot (Tea/ Coffee) etc

  • Travel insurance, which is compulsory for trekking (make sure the policy covers emergency high-altitude rescue and evacuation)

  • Additional costs incurred due to causes beyond our control, such as, landslides, weather conditions, itinerary modifications due to safety concerns, illness, change of government policies, strikes, significant rise in fuel, flight delay or cancellation due to bad weather condition etc.
