Kathmandu and Lumbini Tour by flight

6 Days

Kathmandu and Lumbini are two popular tourist destinations in Nepal, offering visitors a rich cultural and historical experience.

Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is known for its ancient temples, intricate architecture, and vibrant culture. Some of the must-visit attractions in Kathmandu include the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Swayambhunath Stupa (also known as the Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple (a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva), and Boudhanath Stupa (a sacred Buddhist site). Other popular attractions in Kathmandu include Durbar Square (a complex of historic palaces, temples, and courtyards), Thamel (a bustling neighborhood famous for its markets and nightlife), and the Garden of Dreams (a serene oasis in the heart of the city).

Lumbini, located in the southern part of Nepal, is the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. The city is home to several important Buddhist temples and monasteries, including the Maya Devi Temple (built on the site where Buddha was born), the Ashoka Pillar (erected by Emperor Ashoka to mark the birthplace of Buddha), and the Sacred Garden (a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring ancient ruins and monuments). Lumbini is a popular pilgrimage site for Buddhists from all over the world.

A typical Kathmandu and Lumbini tour would involve visiting the major cultural and historical sites in Kathmandu, followed by a journey to Lumbini to explore the birthplace of Buddha and the important Buddhist sites in the region. The tour may also include visits to nearby towns and villages to experience the local culture and way of life.
