Pikey Peak Trek

11 Days

Pikey Peak trek is a relatively new and less-crowded trekking route in Nepal, located in the lower Solu region of the Everest region. It offers spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Gauri Shankar, and Numbur. The trek is named after Pikey Peak (4,065m), which is one of the tallest peaks in the Solu-Khumbu region and offers an excellent panoramic view of the Himalayas.

The trek takes you through traditional Sherpa villages, dense forests, and picturesque valleys, offering an opportunity to experience the local culture and traditions. The trail is less crowded than other popular trekking routes in Nepal, making it an ideal choice for trekkers looking for a peaceful and off-the-beaten-path adventure.

The trek usually starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar, followed by a trek through villages such as Jhapre, Pikey Base Camp, Loding, and Junbesi. The best time to trek to Pikey Peak is from March to May and from September to November, when the weather is clear and the views are stunning. The trek is generally considered to be moderate in difficulty, and trekkers should be prepared for some steep ascents and descents.

Overall, Pikey Peak trek is an excellent option for trekkers looking for a less crowded and off-the-beaten-path trekking experience while enjoying stunning views of the Himalayan range.
