Khumai Danda Trek is a scenic and moderate trekking trail located in the Annapurna region of Nepal. DETAIL ITINERARY:

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu & transfer to Hotel (1,350m)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted with traditional Dhaka Khada and transferred to the hotel in (Check in at 1400 Hrs).

Reminder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Drive to Pokhara (827m)

Early in the morning,Drive to Pokhara by scheduled bus, Reach out in pokhara,Transfer to the hotel .Rest of the time is at leisure.Enjoy an afternoon exploring the lakeside city and relaxing by Phewa Lake.

Day 3: Drive to Hemja and Trek Hile Kharka (2,160m)

In the morning, you will drive from Pokhara to Hemja on the 3 day of your trek, which will take around 30 minutes. Hemja is the starting point of the trek. The hike begins at Hemja, from which you will begin trekking through the forests, you will cross the Mardi khola river, the village settlement of Lhachowk, Ghachowk and Tubu anad terraced farms while taking in the views of the surrounding hills. After walking for almost 5-6 hours, you will arrive at the Hile Kharka, which offers outstanding sights of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna ranges and Lamjung Himal.

Day 4: Trek from Hile Kharka to Khumai Danda (3,245m)

After breakfast, Begin the day with a hike to the Khumai Danda.The walk from Hile Kharka to Khumai Danda is mostly through the forest area adorned with rhododendron tress, so there is no doubt that you will be in love with the place. After 5-6 hours of walking on a grassy hill and narrow trail, the path opens to Khumai Hill, offering majestic views of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri.

Day 5: Hike to Korchan Danda and trek down to Ghachowk and drive to Pokhara

One of the major highlights of the Khumai Danda trek is the sunrise view from Korchan Danda. It takes 6-7 hours to reach Korchan Danda. Once you arrive at the Korchan Danda, you can enjoy the view of golden rays of sunlight. Apart from this, the views of Mardi himal, Annapurna ranges and Machhapuchhre is worth capturing from the vantage point. After spending some memorable time and clicking pictures with the backdrop of the Himalayas, you will head down the hill enjoying the views of the Himalayas to Ghachowk. Then you will drive to Pokhara.

Day 6: Pokhara city tour

Early in the morning, you will drive to sarangkot viewpoint for a sunrise view over the himalayan. Return to visit the bindabasini temple.Back to hotel for breakfast.we will then visit sightseeing tour.

Bindabasini temple: situated in the northern part of the beautiful lake city of Nepal is the temple of Bindabasini. Located near the busy Old Bazzar of Pokhara, the temple of Bindabasini stands proudly at about 3000 feet above the sea level along the Annapurna and Machhapuhhare Himalayan Range. Bindabasini temple, the temple of the guardian deity is of great religious value to the Hindus living in Pokhara.

Devi’s fall: Devi’s fall (also known as Devin’s and David’s) is a lovely waterfall lying about 2-Km south-west of the Pokhara airport on the Siddhartha Highway. Legend has it that a trekker (Devin, David) was washed away by the Pardi Khola and mysteriously disappeared down into an underground passage beneath the fall.

Gupteswore Cave: One of the largest caves in Pokhara dedicated to Lord Shiva is another nature’s wonder in Pokhara.

World Peace Stupa: The World Peace Stupa in Pokhara, Nepal, is a serene monument on Anadu Hill, offering stunning views of the Annapurna range and Phewa Lake. Built by Japanese Buddhist monks, it symbolizes global harmony and peace. Visitors hike to this white pagoda to enjoy its tranquil and reflective atmosphere.

Phewa Lake: is the second-largest lake in Nepal. It covers an area of about 4.43 sq km with an average depth of about 8.6 metres and a maximum water depth of 19 metres. The reflection of Mount Annapurna can be seen on Phewa Lake. Another attraction of this lake is Taal Barahi Temple, a pagoda-style temple on an island in the middle of Phewa Lake.

Day 7: Drive to Chitwan

After breakfast, drive (5-6 hours) to Chitwan. Evening time we will visit Tharu (local people) village and know about their unique lifestyle and culture.

Day 8: Full day jungle activities

Today, after breakfast we will take part in various adventure activities in Chitwan National Park including Elephant Safari, Elephant Bathing, jeep safari and Jungle walk. At evening time Tharu people of Chitwan welcome guests by performing dance an singing, famous stick dances and the crazy peacock dance are main highlights which reflects their unique life styles. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Chitwan as you encounter diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes. In the evening, savor a typical Nepali dinner accompanied by a captivating Tharu cultural dance performance.

Day 9: Drive to Kathmandu (175km)

Waking up early in the morning, you have your breakfast and drive back to Kathmandu its about 5-6 hours of drive to reach Kathmandu. On the way, you can also visit Manakamana Temple by cable car. After arrival in Kathmandu, you can enjoy shopping, strolling around local streets, enjoying street food or simply taking a rest at your hotel.

Day 10: Kathmandu city tour

After having our morning breakfast, we will begin our Kathmandu city tour by visiting iconic cultural and historical sites such as

Pashupatinath temple: Pashupatinath is a sacred Hindu temple visited by millions annually to seek blessings from Lord Shiva. It offers insights into Hindu funeral rituals and features various temples, including one dedicated to Vishnu.

Swyambhunath (Monkey Temple): Perched atop a hill, Swayambhunath is an ancient stupa and UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. The eyes of Buddha watch over the city as monkeys frolic around the stupa, adding a lively charm to this spiritual sanctuary where Buddhism and Hinduism intertwine.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: This historic plaza in the heart of Kathmandu is a living museum of Nepal’s royal past. Adorned with palaces, temples, and intricately carved wooden structures, it reflects the architectural brilliance of bygone dynasties. The Kumari Chowk, home to the living goddess Kumari, and the Taleju Temple are among the square’s mesmerizing highlights.

In the evening, we come together for a special farewell dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant.
