Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, is a unique destination with a rich history and culture. A Lhasa Tibet tour typically includes visits to some of the city & most famous attractions such as Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. Potala Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage site and was the former residence of the Dalai Lamas. The palace has 13 stories and over 1000 rooms, and is considered one of the most important cultural and historical sites in Tibet.

Jokhang Temple is one of the most sacred temples in Tibetan Buddhism and attracts pilgrims from all over the country. The temple & architecture is a unique blend of Han Chinese, Tibetan and Indian influences. Barkhor Street is a bustling street that circles Jokhang Temple and is lined with colorful markets and shops selling traditional Tibetan goods, such as prayer flags, yak butter lamps, and thangka paintings.

Outline Itinerary

Day Activities
Day1 Arrival at Lhasa. You will be greeted by our guide and transfer to the hotel in Lhasa. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight stay at Hotel (No meals)
Day2 Full day city tour in Lhasa: visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street.
Overnight stay at Hotel (Includes: Breakfast)
Day3 Full day city tour in Lhasa: visit Sera monastery and Drepung Monastery.
Overnight stay at Hotel (Includes: Breakfast)
Day4 Departure transfer to the airport.

  • Important note: there are two ways to enter into Tibet either by Nepal or Mainland China. Please be advised to travel to Lhasa require Tibet Travel permit and China visa and in order to get Tibet Travel Permit we must confirm tour at least a month in advance
