DETAILS ITINERARY:

Day 1: Arrival day in Kathmandu (1,350m)

Upon arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport, an Expediya Holiday representative will be warmly greeted with traditional Dhaka Khada and transferred to the hotel in (Check in at 1400 Hrs).Reminder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley tour v& trek Preparation (1,350m)

After breakfast, we’ll embark on a sightseeing tour around the Kathmandu Valley.

Pashupatinath: is a sacred Hindu temple on the Bagmati River, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It’s a revered site with shrines, ashrams, and cremation ghats. Non-Hindus can view the temple from the opposite bank and experience its daily rituals and ceremonies.

Boudhanath Stupa: Conclude the sightseeing at Boudhanath, one of the largest stupas globally,and a vital pilgrimage site for Buddhists. Walk around the stupa, spinning prayer wheels and absorbing the spiritual ambiance.

Patan Durbar Square: is a UNESCO World Heritage site in the heart of Patan, showcasing Newari architecture, temples, and courtyards. It’s a cultural hub with museums, art galleries, and traditional craft shops.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara Valley (850m)

We’ll embark on an early morning drive to Pokhara in a private vehicle, traversing the picturesque Nepalese countryside until we reach the serene Pokhara lakeside. Upon arrival, we’ll check into the hotel, allowing you to spend the remainder of the day exploring the charming lakeside areas at your leisure.

Day 4: Flight to Jomsom, Trek to Kagbeni (2,804m, 4-5 hrs)

After breakfast, we’ll catch an early flight to Jomsom, a scenic journey of just 20 minutes. From there, we’ll trek along a gradual and windy path for about three hours, reaching the Kali Gandaki riverbed. Our first stop is at Ekley-Bhatti village. Following a brief pause, we’ll enjoy an easy one-hour walk to Kagbeni, a captivating village nestled at the confluence of two rivers, situated along the ancient Trans Himalayan salt trade route to Tibet via the Upper Mustang area.

Day 5: Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3,800m, 5-6 hrs)

We begin our trek to Muktinath, traversing through arid terrain and ascending steeply to a ridge for an hour. Along a gentle uphill path, we’re greeted with scenic views of Annapurna, Tukuche, and the Upper Mustang region. Passing small villages, we arrive at Jharkot, offering encounters with local Thakali culture and a visit to a 500-year-old monastery. After a brief climb from Jharkot, we reach Muktinath, surrounded by stunning Himalayan vistas and arid landscapes. Here, you may meet trekkers who have crossed the Throung La Pass from the Manang side. Enjoy exploring the surrounding areas.

Day 6: Trek from Muktinath to Marpha (2,670m, 5-6 hrs)

We’ll visit the muktinath temple in the morning, then descend to the Kaligandaki river valley floor, stopping briefly at Ekle Bhatti, also known as the lonely tea house. After Ekle Bhatti, the path becomes very windy as we continue along the valley. The walk will then follow a gentle trail for another two hours until we reach the large town of Jomsom. After lunch in Jomsom, we’ll have an easy two-hour walk southeast to reach Marpha for our overnight stop. Marpha is a charming village with whitewashed houses, paved streets, and well-kept lodges. You’ll have time to enjoy local apple products like cider, brandy, and juice.

Day 7: Trek from Marpha to Ghasa (2,010m, 6-7 hrs)

The walk downstream along the Kaligandaki River to Tukuche offers charming views of the Tukuche peak and Dhaulagiri, with spectacular vistas of Mt. Nilgiri and the icefalls cascading from Dhaulagiri’s east face. Continuing from Tukuche, we’ll trek for an hour to reach Kalopani village for lunch. Kalopani, with its excellent tea houses and lodges, provides stunning views of Mt. Annapurna I, Nilgiri, and Dhaulagiri above the pine forest. After an easy two-hour downhill walk, we’ll arrive at a picturesque Thakali village.

Overnight Stay at Ghasa (Includes: breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Day 8: Trek from Ghasa to Tatopani (1,190m, 5-4 hrs)

Today’s route brings a dramatic change in vegetation from dry desert to pine and conifer forests, passing between the towering peaks of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. The Thakali people dominate the southern end of the area, and we’ll witness unique architecture from Ghasa to Tatopani, characterized by ornately carved woodwork. Our pleasant walk continues through terraced paddy fields and warm sub-tropical climate to Tatopani village, where we’ll encounter the beautiful Rupse Waterfall and pass through Dana village, home to the deepest gorge in the world. After lunch, we’ll walk for a couple of hours to reach Tatopani for a relaxing natural hot spring bath.

Day 9: Trek from Tatopani to Ghorepani (2,850m , 6-7 hrs)

After a rejuvenating soak in the medicinal hot springs of Tatopani, we’ll depart for Ghorepani in the morning. Fueled by a hearty breakfast, we’ll embark on a 3-4hour trek to Ghorepani Village, offering breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna ranges. Though uphill, the scenic trek rewards every hardship. Tonight, we’ll rest at one of the charming teahouses in Ghorepani village.

Day 10: Trek from Ghorepani to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara (1,430m, 4-5 hrs)

The trek route from Ghorepani to Nayapul is adorned with dense rhododendrons and forests on either side, leading you to Nayapul’s welcoming jungle destination. This marks the conclusion of the 10-day Jomsom Muktinath Trekking adventure. The walk from Ghorepani to Nayapul serves as the final trek of the journey. After an hour and a half drive to Pokhara, your trek will come to an end.

Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,350m)

Early in the morning, we’ll embark on a scenic drive back to Kathmandu in a private vehicle, traversing through the picturesque Nepalese countryside until we reach our destination.Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to the hotel. In the evening, we come together for a special farewell dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant.
