Kyanjin Gompa trek takes you to the Langtang Valley, located north of Kathmandu. The trek starts from Syabrubesi and passes through scenic villages, lush forests, and stunning landscapes. The highlight of the trek is Kyanjin Gompa, a Buddhist monastery located at an altitude of 3,870 meters. The monastery offers breathtaking views of the Langtang range, including Langtang Lirung (7,227 m), Gang Chhenpo (6,388 m), and Dorje Lakpa (6,990 m). The trek takes about 7-10 days to complete.
Gosainkunda trek takes you to the holy lake of Gosainkunda, located in the Langtang region. The trek starts from Dhunche and passes through dense forests, ethnic villages, and alpine meadows. The highlight of the trek is the sacred lake of Gosainkunda, which is believed to have been created by Lord Shiva. The trek takes about 6-8 days to complete and offers stunning views of the Langtang range, including Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and Manaslu.
Both Kyanjin Gompa and Gosainkunda treks are moderately challenging and require a good level of fitness. The best time to undertake these treks is from March to May and from September to November, when the weather is clear and dry.
