Khumbu Three Passes trek is a challenging trekking route located in the Everest region of Nepal. The trek provides an opportunity to explore the stunning landscapes, cultural diversity, and majestic views of mountains such as Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and Mt. Cho Oyu. The trek passes through three high passes, namely the Renjo La Pass (5,360m), Cho La Pass (5,420m), and Kongma La Pass (5,535m), which involves steep ascents and descents. The trek starts from Lukla and follows the classic Everest Base Camp route until Dingboche village. From there, the trail diverts towards Chukkung Village and onwards to the first pass, Kongma La. The trek then continues towards Lobuche and Gorak Shep, and further to the second pass, Cho La. The trail goes through the beautiful Gokyo Valley, where trekkers get to experience the magnificence of Gokyo Lakes and the Ngozumpa glacier. The next pass to cross is Renjo La, after which the trek descends towards Thame and Namche Bazaar, leading us back to Lukla.
