The EBC (Everest Base Camp) and Kala Patthar trek is a popular trekking route in the Everest region of Nepal. The trek takes you through the beautiful Khumbu valley and offers stunning views of some of the highest peaks in the world, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. The trek starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a walk to Namche Bazaar, a popular trading hub in the Khumbu Valley. You will then trek through the beautiful mountain villages of Tengboche, Dingboche, Gorak Shep before reaching the base camp of Mount Everest. You will also hike to Kala Patthar, a famous viewpoint that offers a panoramic view of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks. The EBC and Kala Patthar trek is a challenging trek and requires a good level of fitness and acclimatization. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,429ft)
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted with traditional Dhaka Khada and transferred to the hotel in (Check in at 1400 Hrs).
Reminder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Kathmandu city tour & trek Preparation (1,350m/4,429ft)
Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath Temple is in Kathmandu. It’s dedicated to Lord Shiva. UNESCO lists it. It features pagoda-style architecture. It showcases intricate carvings. It stands by the Bagmati River. Daily rituals take place. Devotees frequent it.
Swayambhunath Stupa: This stupa is also known as the monkey temple by the tourists. The complex also has many other small stupas, Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples. It also offers beautiful views of Kathmandu city.After the city tour, you’ll return to your hotel for the overnight stay.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: This historic plaza in the heart of Kathmandu is a living museum of Nepal’s royal past. Adorned with palaces, temples, and intricately carved wooden structures, it reflects the architectural brilliance of bygone dynasties. The Kumari Chowk, home to the living goddess Kumari, and the Taleju Temple are among the square’s mesmerizing highlights.

Day 3: Flight to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2,800m/9,187ft , 3-4 hrs)
Early morning, you’ll fly to Lukla for a quick 30-minute journey. As you land, you’ll notice the serene atmosphere amidst green hills and the charming Himalayan town. Trekking onwards to Phakding.

Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280ft, 5-6 hrs)
Leaving Phakding, you’ll trek alongside the rushing Dudh Koshi River, passing through stunning rhododendron forests. Your journey will lead you to Monjo, the gateway to Sagarmatha National Park, before continuing on to Namche Bazaar. This vibrant town is renowned as one of the main commercial centers in the Khumbu Region.

Day 5: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
Today is dedicated to acclimatization to prevent altitude sickness. Explore the Sherpa Cultural Museum in Namche to learn about Sherpa culture. Enjoy a short hike to Everest View Hotel (3952m) for stunning views of Mt. Everest (8848m) and other peaks. Afterward, return to Namche for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche(3867m/12687ft), 5-6 hrs)
Continuing through rhododendron forests, you’ll reach Phunke Tenga with stunning views of Ama Dablam (6856m) and Taboche (6367m). Arriving in Tengboche, visit the impressive Tengboche Monastery to admire its beautiful paintings and artwork.

Day 7: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m/14469ft, 5-6 hrs)
Crossing a prayer flag-adorned suspension bridge and the Imja River, trek towards Dingboche through rugged terrain. Admire small Chortens and Mani walls etched with Buddhist prayers along the way. Upon arrival in Dingboche, enjoy picturesque views of snow-capped mountains including Everest (8848m) and Lhotse (8414m).

Day 8: Acclimatization at Dingboche and Hike to Nangkar Tshang Peak(4410m/14469ft, 3-4 hours)
Today, you’ll dedicate another day to acclimatization in Dingboche. Embark on a short hike towards Nangkar Tshang Peak (5616m), offering panoramic views of Mt. Makalu (8463m), Lhotse (8414m), and other stunning peaks. Upon descending to Dingboche, visit the renowned ancient Nangkartshang Gompa along the way.

Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m/16109ft, 5-6 hrs)
From Dingboche, hike towards Lobuche along the trail to Dusa and Palrung Kharka. Enjoy scenic views as you walk towards Thokla Pass (4830m), taking in the beauty of the Mahalangur Himalayan Range. Continue alongside the Khumbu Glacier, the largest glacier in the region. Upon reaching Lobuche, savor the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 10: Trek to Everest Base Camp to Gorekshep (5,364m/17,598ft, 6-7 hrs)
Trekking alongside the Khumbu Glacier, you’ll reach Gorakshep, one of the final stops before Everest Base Camp. It’s a small settlement with basic lodges for trekkers. Everest Base Camp, ahead of Gorakshep, marks the start of Everest summit expeditions. Enjoy views of the Khumbu Icefall and close-up vistas of Everest (8848m) and other peaks from the base camp. After soaking in the beauty, return to Gorakshep.

Day 11: Morning Hike up to Kala Patthar and Back to Lobuche (5,550m/18,204ft,5-6 hrs)
At dawn, embark on a hike to Kala Patthar, offering the finest views of Everest (8848m). Witness the sunrise casting its rays over the snow-capped peaks, providing a panoramic vista of Everest, Nuptse (7861m), and more. After savoring this unforgettable moment, return to Gorakshep. Following breakfast, descend to Lobuche.

Day 12: Trek to Khumjung Village and Towards Namche Bazaar(3,800m/Â 3-4 hrs)
Today, you have the option to choose your next destination, either Khumjung village, based on your preference. If you choose Khumjung, the trail follows along the Imja Khola, passing through Deboche and Tengboche to Phunke Tenga, where you’ll meet the Dudh Koshi River. From there, you’ll ascend stone steps to reach Khumjung village and visit the renowned Khumjung Monastery. Alternatively, if you prefer to hike downhill, you can pass through Khyangjuma village to reach Namche Bazaar.

Day 13: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Down Monjo(2835m/ 4-5 hrs)
Trekking along a scenic path adorned with vibrant crimson rhododendrons and wide pastures alive with donkey caravans, goats, and grazing yaks, you’ll journey towards Monjo. Upon leaving Monjo behind, you’ll exit the Sagarmatha National Park.

Day 14: Trek from Monjo to Lukla (2,835m/9,301ft, 3-4 hrs)
Crossing a suspension bridge, you’ll trek along a scenic trail adorned with Buddhist Chortens draped in prayer flags, Mani walls, and a small Gompa. The Dudh Koshi River rushes alongside, amidst grassy plains, fragrant pines, and rhododendron forests. Upon reaching Lukla, take the opportunity to relax. In the evening, you can celebrate the success of your trekking journey.

Day 15: Flight Back to Kathmandu (1,350m/4,429ft, 35 minutes)
In the early morning, enjoy a scenic flight to Kathmandu, with views of lush green hills and snow-capped mountains. Upon arrival, you’ll have free time to explore the city at your leisure, whether it’s shopping. In the evening, we come together for a special farewell dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant.

Today, you’ll be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your journey to next destination.
